Jungle Janes reunion

Broadfield Court was the setting for a reunion of jungle TV stars 10 years after their ordeal in front of television cameras in Borneo.
The trip, which was televised by Channel 4, was called Jungle Janes and it became a fly-on-the-wall documentary of how a dozen women left their comfortable lives in England to try and survive a month in the Borneo jungle.
Nine of the women who took part in the epic expedition a decade ago spent the weekend here at Broadfield Court and were hosted by its owners, Alexandra James and her husband, Mark.
Mrs James said: "We spent the whole time laughing and reminiscing over the trip, as well as watching video footage of our time in the jungle.
"Despite what we went through - or perhaps because of it - we have remained friends since.
"I think the reunion refreshed our memories over how hard it was in the jungle at times.
"At the time we were aged between 34 and 50. Some were mothers, some had jobs, but we all had this desire to overcome some of the most challenging and uncomfortable conditions on the planet."
The women who took part were trained as if they were soldiers, and lived in the jungle as though they were in the forces. They were led by a serving soldier.
Their only other company were a handful of Gurkhas, and a cameraman and sound lady from Anglian Television.
